In a written answer to your question from Rajya Sabha, Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan said there are 43 countries, There are 36 countries which provide visa-on-arrival facility and e-visa facility to ordinary Indian passport holders.
"There are 16 countries that provide visa-free entry to ordinary Indian passport holders," said Muralitharan.
Iran, Indonesia and Myanmar are amongst the 43 countries which provide visa-on-arrival facility to Indian ordinary passport holders.
SriLanka, New Zealand and Malaysia are among the are 36 countries that provide e-visa centre to Indian ordinary passport holders, according to the data supplied from the minister.
The government was making attempts to grow the number of states that offer visa-free travel, visa-on-arrival and EVisa facility in order to more facilitate international travel for Indians, Muraleedharan explained.
Whilst issuance of visa and visa associated process will be the autonomous and unilateral decision of the various nation, the thing about much easier and liberalised visa coverage to Indian nationals is consumed regularly in bilateral meetings and forums with foreign countries, he explained.
